One of the longest ever series of comedy films and parodies made by great set of actors. Each of the films is different story and different set of characters, but the light atmosphere and the dialogues filled with innuendos are the trademarks of Carry On series.

One of the classics of British comedy. The movies vary in quality, but afterall they kept people in theaters for almost 20 years and that just can’t be overlooked. Also most of the actors that used to play in them have became icons just for their roles in Carry Ons (f.e. Kenneth Williams, Joan Sims, Sid James, Charles Hawtrey, Barbara Windsor)

First few movies didn’t have the typical Carry On humour based on innuendos (characteristical for Talbot Rothwell) and all were based in current times (I mean in 1950s or 1960s when they were filmed), the later movies were written in pretty much same manner and they were set in different places and times (f.e. ancient Rome, Egypt, India, USA).

Last few movies were really poorly written and overall bad (so bad that few regular actors have refused to take parts in Carry On Emmanuelle). The influence of Carry On on British culture was so huge that 14 years after last movie new project with new set of actors was created (Carry On Columbus) and as strange as it sounds this was the movie about Columbus with the highest audience (competing with 1492 Conquest of Paradise and Christopher Columbus).
