| New guest, almost deaf, ill-tempered and very demanding Mrs. Richards gets on everybody’s nerves, especially when she accusses the hotel staff of stealing her money. |

| Basil gets really nervous when he finds out that two of his new guests are psychiatrists and he just can’t help getting into embarassing position. |
3 | Waldorf Salad |
| Basil again gets into embarassing position when American guest arrives and starts to demand better quality service. |
4 | The Kipper and the Corpse |
| In the morning Polly finds one of the guests dead in his bed, which starts the havoc in whole hotel. |
5 | The Anniversary |
| Basil pretends that he has forgotten about the wedding anniversary, so Sybil leaves the house angry. But in fact he did invited their friends to a dinner and now has to hide his wife absence from them. |
6 | Basil the Rat |
| When local health inspector arrives to Fawlty Towers he leaves a long list of hygienic aberrations that staff has to take care of. But Basil is especially appalled when he finds out that Manuel keeps a rat as a pet. |
