Bank manager, who pretty much made himself a leader of local Home Guard. |
| | as Arthur Wilson
Assistant manager of the bank and also second in command under Mainwaring. |
| | as Jack Jones
Local butcher and veteran soldier. He used to fight in Boer Wars and Zulu Wars, and still is very keen to join the action. In fact usually he is even too keen. |
| | as James Frazer
Scotish ex-navy veteran. He is grumpy and malicious, not to mention cheap. |
| | as Joe Walker
Younger than the others Walker is a little bit shady figure with contacts in black market on one hand and good sense of humour on the other. |
| | as Charles Godfrey
Oldest member of the platoon he is veteran of World War I despite being a pacifist. Unable to match the physical requirements for the Home Guard he plays the role of medical aid and also take care of most important tasks of all - he makes tea. |
| | as Frank Pike
Yougest of the platoon members Pike is very childish and immature. |
| | as Hodges
ARP (Air Raid Precautions) warden constantly fighting with Mainwaring over who is more important. |
| | as Timothy Farthing
Vicar of local parish, very polite and well meaning, but overall slightly clumsy. |
