Successful New York cartoonist Caroline Duffy, author of comic strip called Caroline in the City, hires an uptight artists Richard as the colorist. With her midwest approach she just can’t help trying to change his cynical mind.

One of the best, but hugely underrated American sitcoms of the 90’s, created by Fred Barron who’s achievements in comedy are such titles as Dave’s World, Night Court, My Family. This sitcom is full of inteligent and sometimes cynical humour without forcing it to the audience. The humour is based on clash of cynical New Yorker Richard and his happy-go-lucky boss Caroline from Wisconsin.

The creators gave a lot of attention to keep few plots running through the episode which gave the extra quality to the entertainment level. Unfortunately in season 4 they’ve dropped the idea together with some of the vital characters which brought this series to premature end, but for years this show is still remembered as sweet and funny.
