1960s British radio comedy series

Fictional General Assistance Department was created to help other ministries with often trivial problems. Incompetent civil servants that are running it get into trouble everytime they try to do their job. But most of the time they just try to look like they are doing any job.

Men from the Ministry cast

	Deryck Guyler	as Deryck Lennox-Brown Head of the General Assistance Department. Lennox-Brown is lazy, enjoys very long lunch breaks, private clubs and betting on horses. Just like his colleagues he lacks any skills that would make him suitable for jobs outside the civil service. Deryck Guyler took over this part after departure of Wilfrid Hyde-White.
	Wilfrid Hyde-White	as Roland Hamilton-Jones Head of the General Assistance Department. Lennox-Brown is lazy, enjoys very long lunch breaks, private clubs and betting on horses. Just like his colleagues he lacks any skills that would make him suitable for jobs outside the civil service.
	Ronald Baddiley	as Sir Gregory Pitkin Under-Secretary in the ministry Sir Gregory is ill-tempered superior of the main characters.
