1960s British tv comedy series

Morecambe and Wise show with sketches mixed between songs and guest stars taking part in unusually bad plays written by Ernie Wise.

A vaudeville style show which mixed sketches played by Morecambe and Wise plus songs sung by their guests. As for 1960’s when it was started the format was quite typical (f.e. Benny Hill Show was quite similiar), but that’s one of the reasons that show has dated - the songs aren’t what they used to be, the stars that were guests aren’t as recognizable as they were back then. The sketches are keeping rather good level, but rest of it has dated.
