1980s British tv comedy series

Sketch-based series built around characters developed by Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie.

The 4 seasons of A Bit of Fry and Laurie were spread for over 6 years which made them rather uneven. Fry and Laurie have created their own style of sketches (of course main kind was man-at-the-counter routine typical for British comedians), their way of creating funny moments were usually influenced heavily by rahter intelectual style of Fry and sometimes naive and childish behavior of Laurie (which they’ve successfully used later in Blackadder series), but put together they’ve created a great series with only few episodes below the par. Highly recommended for fans of typical British humour.
