Yes Minister Series 2 (1981)

Jim Hacker settles as a minister and finds his ways to deal with Sir Humphrey. At least that’s what he thinks.

1

The Compassionate Society

Hacker finds out that there is a brand new, fully staffed hospital that lacks... only patients and Civil Service doesn’t see anything wrong about it. He decides to take actions, but as usual he will have to fight Sir Humphrey for it.

2

Doing the Honours

Hacker plans to withhold honours for civil servants who do not reduce their budgets, so Sir Humphrey must find the way to change his mind. I mean realize the better solution.

3

The Death List

The minister is forced to review his decisions about bugging and phone tapping after he was put himself on a terrorists death list.

4

The Greasy Pole

Plans to build a new chemical factory puts Hacker in a hot spot and everything depands on the outcome of an independent report, so minister has to make sure it will show his point of view.

5

The Devil You Know

A cabinet reshuffle coincides with a vacancy in Brussels. Hacker starts to consider his options - perhaps the move to European Union would be a better solution for him, since he could be out of government soon. To his amazement Sir Humphrey is not happy about that idea.

6

The Quality of Life

Hacker vows to keep open a city farm that Sir Humphrey has already put on a list to be bulldozed to make way for a car park for inland revenue inspectors. Of course Humphrey offers minister the solution to that problem, but not without a little catch...

7

A Question of Loyalty

After publication of a book written by former Civil Servant Hacker and Sir Humphrey are tested by a Select Committee on their commitment to ridding wasted government expenditure.
