Trish Collingwood is a middle-aged manager of busy job center somewhere in England. She is very enthusiastic about her job, but her staff is far from being devoted to their job.

The Job Lot takes up quite suprising main theme for sitcom - the job center, which usually is rather depressing places, if not for the unemployed then for the staff. And perhaps is isn’t as surprising that the final product receives rather mixed reviews.

The series is focused on the relations between the staff rather than the job seekers cases, which means that it is another office humour sitcom. On one hand we have rather interesting set of characters, quite interesting plots, but overall it is sometimes too down-to-earth when it comes to the unemployed and despite having quite few characters available only 2 or 3 of them are usually actually involved in the plots.

It is average comedy series - sometimes it is quite entertaining, but overall it never raises over some level.
