2010s British tv sitcom

Small, lower division, football team somewhere in England, Redbridge Rovers FC, struggles to fight the relegation, but the one thing they are not short of is devoted fans. Well, fan anyway.

Sam, young barmaid, starts her job in pub set within clubhouse of Redbridge Rovers FC, a non-league football club in the Midlands of England. The owner of the pub, Doreen, introduces her to the colourful characters that are regulars of the pub, starting with Pete Mott, the most devoted fan of the Rovers, who can bore to death anyone, who is ready to listen to his stories of the club’s glory days. Well, old days anyhow.

British sitcom created by Joe Wilkinson, who has a very unique sense of humour and this production carries all the trademarks of his kind of comedy - often embarrassing situations, sometimes a bit cringy or just plainly weird. While it works pretty well when he does it, the same vibe transferred to other people it moves to the weird area. Not that the series had great potential, it was rather old fashioned setting, where same people hang around and share the stories about their pretty empty lives.

The setting was interesting, the characters not so much and less said about the scripts is better.
