Dan is reluctant to give Becky driving lessons. Meanwhile, the whole family awaits the results of a more serious test being taken by Roseanne.

Dan lends $1,500 to Arnie thinking he’s buying Nancy an engagement ring, but he actually buys her breast implants. When Dan falls behind with the bills, Jackie tries to lend him the money, but he refuses because she’s a relative. DJ starts peeping on his sisters.

Roseanne and Dan think it’s time to talk to Becky about birth control...then they catch Darlene making out on their couch.

Roseanne quits her hair-salon job for a waitress job at the luncheonette in Rodbell’s Department Store. Becky and Darlene are fighting over their room yet again, so Dan sends Darlene to live in the basement, and Roseanne has trouble letting Dan resolve disputes between the kids. Note: Alyson Hannigan guest stars as one of Becky’s friends who dines at the luncheonette.

Becky and Darlene think DJ’s a psycho when they find his under-the-bed secret stash of dismembered dolls; Jackie is injured in the line of duty and Gary gives her an ultimatum.

Roseanne and Dan shop for a new bed. Becky starts dating Mark, a rebellious teen. First appearance of Glenn Quinn as Mark.

Roseanne dresses as a male trucker for Halloween and mingles with some guys at the Lobo Lounge. Dan is upset about DJ wanting to be a witch for Halloween.

Roseanne’s PMS coincides with Dan’s birthday. He would rather avoid it by going fishing, but his family insists on throwing him a surprise party.

Becky is suspended for allegedly making an obscene gesture in her class photo. She gains popularity at school, but Roseanne has to visit the principal. Dan has plans for Becky’s suspension.

When Dan starts dreaming about another woman, Roseanne feels threatened, so she decides to meet this woman at Rodbell’s.

When Becky and Darlene break curfew, Dan and Roseanne try to teach them a lesson by staying out late and sending Jackie over to make sure they worry.

When Bev pays a surprise visit, Roseanne tricks Jackie into coming over for her share of torture. But she’s crushed to learn that Bev had always considered Roseanne ’ordinary’ and thought Jackie had more potential.

It’s Ed Conner’s turn to favor the family with a surprise visit. He announces that he and Crystal are involved and planning to marry.

Dan struggles to accept the unlikely pairing of Ed and Crystal, especially when Crystal announces that she’s pregnant.

Becky runs away from home to live with Jackie after lying about not seeing Mark.

Roseanne visits Darlene’s home-economics class, then takes them on a field trip to the supermarket. Meanwhile Dan is helping DJ’s bulling problem but it turns out DJ hires a bodyguard to defend himself.

Roseanne awaits a special Valentine’s Day gift from Dan; Darlene is disappointed when her crush asks Becky to the dance instead.

Roseanne lends more than moral support when Jackie has a role in the community-theater presentation of ’Cyrano de Bergerac.’

A snowstorm threatens Roseanne and Dan’s trip to Vegas, but saves Roseanne’s job.

Mark and Becky ride Dan’s vintage motorcycle without permission, and Dan finds out when he realizes that Mark tinkered with the engine. Feeling betrayed, especially after defending her earlier, Dan gives Becky the silent treatment while Roseanne decides to confront Mark about his true intentions.

Roseanne doesn’t get along with her new neighbor, snobby and overprotective Kathy Bowman, although D.J. and Kathy’s son Todd become fast friends. However, after a particularly nasty argument with Kathy, Roseanne has to eat some crow for D.J.’s sake.

Roseanne assists Crystal in her Lamaze classes. After a near-fatal accident at work, DJ follows Dan around obsessively. Jackie is offended when she finds out that Roseanne and Dan don’t think she’s responsible enough to take care of their kids if they die.

Roseanne tries to persuade Darlene to wear something feminine and formal to her school dance.

The Conners hold a Mother’s Day barbecue at which feisty Nana Mary displays her acts of motherhood on Bev, surprising Roseanne and Jackie with how alike their relationships are.

Roseanne and Dan ponder opening their own motorcycle shop with Ziggy. Ziggy ends up getting cold feet at the last minute but leaves behind a generous token of gratitude: $20,000. Brad Garrett appears in this episode.
