The series centered around a stingy landlord Rigsby that tries to find out how low he can put the standards for his lodgers and get away with it. Young students Alan and Philip try to mess up with his mind to get even.
1 | The New Tenant |
| Rigsby has an empty room to let, and Miss Jones has an acquaintance who might be interested - young student Phillip. But Phillip turns out to be not what Rigsby was expecting. |
2 | Black Magic |

3 | A Night Out |
| The household goes out to a fancy restaurant for Miss Jones’ birthday. |
4 | Charisma |
| Alan sports an ear-ring to attract the opposite sex. This offends Rigsby, who is nonetheless willing to try other methods, such as a Matt Monro LP and Philip’s "love-wood", to appeal to Miss Jones. |
5 | All Our Yesterdays |
| Wrestler Spooner annoys the household with his radio, but none of the tenants has the courage to confront him about it. |
6 | The Prowler |
| Miss Jones sees a prowler through her window, and Rigsby suspects everyone else. Fortunately a detective appears and begins to investigate. |
7 | Stand Up And Be Counted |
| An election polarises the household: Rigsby supports the Conservatives, Alan and Philip lean towards Labour, and Miss Jones is impressed with the Liberal candidate. |
