2000s British tv sitcom

Mark works in an office of insurance company. He is responsible, reliable and dull. Jeremy is kind of unemployed musician, who is nothing like Mark. But they share a flat and kind of complete each other.

Peep Show has very unique camera work concept (when each time we see the scene through eyes of one of the characters taking part in it), unique plots (that often involved rather touchy topics) and unique characters (from the two main social misfits to colourful people they stumble upon). Those were the strong points of this show, but on the other hand the plots are often based fully on main characters putting themselves in embarrassing positions that sometimes are not really funny, often they are moving towards rather delicate matters and even reaching the boundaries of good taste.

On the other hand it was one of the British comedy shows that had very little actual content, but at the same time usually it was fun to watch the mishaps of Mark and Jeremy as they keep messing their lives. And the emphasis has to be put on word fun, not to be mistaken for funny, because Peep Show rarely was a typical comedy show with one-liners or gags.

The show was very popular in Great Britain and gained a lot of fans around the world, but it is not a "mainstream" show that could be suitable for everyone.
