Four buddies work together in a magazine and spend a lot of time dealing with their relationships with women. Or lack of them.
There are sitcoms that lack atmosphere, there are sitcoms that lack good jokes, there are sitcoms that lack interesting plots, but Men At Work not only miss all of it, but also pretty much lacks the reason to exist. As the creator Breckin Meyer once stated he didn’t create it as a idea for sitcom, he just put together some funny stories from his life and to be honest it shows. The whole series is a list of tiny anectodes that put together simply can’t create good atmosphere. The main characters are pretty much exchangeable (except Neal), so it’s hard to point out any distinctive characteristics of them. The plots aren’t particularly original (some of them very similiar to what you can see in other series, f.e. How I Met Your Mother) nor intriguing, so the episodes are just easy to forget.
Overall really mediocre creation - good to waste some time, but don’t count on some quality entertainment.
