The life of suburban family is about to change completely when new neighbours move in next door. Especially Eddie is not so keen to have black neighbours.
Created by Harry Driver and Vince Powell Love Thy Neighbour is rather unique comedy series - the first (and one of very few), where the humour derives from race differences. The Today, in era of political corectness madness, probably the series could not be created since the main characters constantly call themselves "Sambo", "Nig-nog", "Honky" or "Snowflake". Apart from that it was rathery typical 1970s British sitcom with simple stories, suburban surroundings and typical marriage roles.
But the main theme was racial differences and after a while it was growing old. Some of the situations were good, some of the episodes interesting, but constant arguments between Eddie and Bill simply can’t be entertaining forever.
