Divorced mom Annie and her best friend Nikki have troubles with their teenage daughters and no idea how to deal with them. The fathers are no help either.
I Hate My Teenage Daughter was a typical family-centered sitcom with emphasis put on all the annoying things the teenage daughters can do. Obviously the humour potential was rather limited, but the sitcom was cut short after only half of the first season due to drastically dropping ratings, which was a little bit too hasty.
The project wasn’t bad, but just like with other similiar series the ideas for family shows are growing old real fast if the creators can’t come up with something original. Here we have single mother, annoying daughter, irresponsible and always absent father and that’s pretty much it. It would be ok in short run, but there were simply to few characters and situations to build up long term sitcom.
