Gary Unmarried is one of the great examples why stand-up comedian should stay with stand-up comedy. Just like in Everybody Loves Raymond a amateur (Jay Mohr) put between professional actors sticks out like a sore thumb - his lack of skills plus not very convincing Paula Marshall as bitchy wife put out all the potential chemistry in the series. Their arguments are flat, his relationships are not that interesting, rest of the cast doesn’t have much to do.
