Father Ted Crilly takes over the parish on secluded Craggy Island near Ireland. The parish is far from what he had expected - he has a dimwitted young priest Father Dougal and always drunk old Father Jack to help him.

Despite being a huge hit in United Kingdom this series isn’t something for everyone - most of the time creators took a good care to make everything as repulsive as they can (interia, the people, especially Father Jack) and the kind of humour presented in Father Ted won’t appeal to many viewers. Rarely the plots or dialogues were up to par, many times the punchlines were really poor or they seemed just forced to close the scene.
