Medley of feelings and relationships between six thirty-something people, who live in a big city - some couples split up, other begin to date.
Original Coupling series remade by Steven Moffat in United States were gathering a lot of attention, especially since the original comedy series was so succesful. Unfortunately the effect was disappointing to say the least. Americans simply took the original scripts and remade them word for word with different cast and just slight (sometimes idiotic) changes. So to put it another way - those, who already saw the original didn’t have anything to enjoy here, those who didn’t could have been disappointed with miscasted and sometimes poorly written scripts.
The original scripts were ok, but where the newly written changes started it was falling apart. Also the epicenter of comic situations in original series, Jeff (played by Richard Coyle), was replaced with completely different character, who instead of being weird in a good was acting like a loser.
Steven Moffat was complaining that there were too many interference from American producers, but the series simply failed because of lack of original scripts and poor casting, so no wonder it was cancelled after just few episodes.
