The Big Bang Theory is the ray of hope that we can still get the comedy series and the golden era of 1990’s wasn’t the grave of that kind of entertainment.

The idea for the show doesn’t look original (IT Crowd had similiar characters) nor doesn’t seem to have much potential - four geeky friends with a girl mixed with them could produce some funny situations, but not for long time. And here is first strange fact - despite repeating same routines (Howard being a jerk with women, Sheldon lives in his own reality, Raj unable to speak to women) the show actually keeps being more entertaining that could be expected.

The second strange thing is that there aren’t much people from outside involved and still it is entertaining that the same group of people doing pretty much the same things they’ve already done before.

The third strange thing about Big Bang Theory is when creators decided to mix more characters into the group (Bernadette and Amy) it actually got worse.

Big Bang Theory is a little bit strange show - what could be extremely boring (like their numerous debates about science fiction or comic book characters) performed by the cast turns into gold. The series doesn’t have much episodes that would be much better or much worse, but it doesn’t in any way affect the joy of watching the four geeks and a girl talking about Superman comic books.
