Department of Social Affairs is run by not very competent people under command of dawdling minister, but luckily they can count on Malcolm Tucker, who will give them wise advise or will scare them to death.
Hugh Abbot is out, his replacement is a woman, who starts to run the ministry in her own way. At least that’s what she thinks.

| Opposition minister Peter Mannion comes to visit the department, but Nicola is preoccupied by problems with her daughter. |

| Nicola and Peter Mannion go head to head on Richard Bacon’s Radio 5 phone-in show, which turns out to be a battlefield for both sides PR people. |

| In an interview Nicola makes it sound like current Prime Minister may be the "right man" for the job, which starts the rumours that she is thinking of running for 10 Downing Street. |
7 | Episode 7 |
| While Tucker is officially on holiday, Nicola is about to take up tennis player Andy Murray as face for her new health campaign. But already the dark clouds are gathering over Tucker. |

| Tucker is forced to resign and Nicola is looking for a new job since the government might not last long. |
