Mockumentary following the young people from completely different ways of life, but with one thing in common - they all are under a lot of pressure that makes them angry and very unusual teenagers.
Chris Lilley as usual proves to be a master when it comes to make up and creating characters, but again as usual he creates the series that are in mockumentary style and on the verge of being comedy drama. Here we have 6 completely different teenagers from different parts of the world that are quite unusual: the has been rap artist S.mouse, who tries to get back on the track with his career, identical twins Daniel and Nathan Sims living in small Australian town and a worldwide skateboarding star Tim Okazaki.
Lilley brilliantly plays the teenagers, the mother of Okazaki and Sims grandmother that works as prison officer at the juvenile centre. The series is quite entertaining, but when it comes to the comedy part of the show it is rather slim. Of course the characters are shown in realistic way, but with elements of ridicule, which worked perfectly making fun of the modern way of life. But if you expect it to be actually laugh-out-loud funny you will be disappointed.
Another good effort from Chris Lilley, the characters and ideas were great, but the series lacked the comedy elements. The episodes were interesting enough to keep the viewers intrigued, but not enough to keep them entertained.
