2000s tv comedy series

Group of friends fascinated with their fantasy football league simply can’t help mixing the fantasy sport with their real lives.

The League is semi-improvised sitcom about group of friends playing the fantasy football league. They are so addicted to their hobby that they constantly mix up their fantasy game deals with their personal lives, especially sex lives. They are completely different people - Pete is divorced, Andre is always single, Kevin is happily married and involves his wife in the game, Rodney is always scheming, while Taco is... different from rest of the human kind.

Even though The League is improvised (which often fails in comedy series, f.e. Curb Your Enthusiasm) and most of the themes are about sex (which also often fails in comedy series, f.e. Californication) in this particular case it actually works. Of course it is not a masterpiece, rather guilty pleasure kind of series - you know it’s disappointing most of the time, but still you can’t help watching some more of it. If the topics would sometimes vary from sex (I know it’s radical, but there are comedy series with more than 1 topic) perhaps it would even be good, but unfortunately it is only a guilty pleasure - mediocre, but entertaining.
