2000s British tv comedy series

Doctor Martin Ellingham moves to a small town of Portwenn in Cornwall, where he used to spend his childhood. He meets his rather ecentric neighbours and patients, but the fact is he isn’t an average doctor either.

Doc Martin is one of the series about doctors who move to a different environment or just are out of place (like Northern Exposure, Becker or Dr House). Martin Clunes plays an eccentric doctor who keeps distance from his patience and other residents of Portwenn. Since the beginning the series was balanced between comical situations and sometimes quite serious medical cases, but it all is kept very entertaining (the atmosphere reminds the one in Corner Gas for example) and great cast keeps it running very smooth.
