God is about to destroy the universe and start everything from a scratch, but in order to give the human kind another chance he choses one man to convince him that people are worth to be spared.
God, the Devil and Bob presented the whole idea of religion in completely new light - we see God and Devil as human beings that get lonely, depressed, happy or angry. Perhaps that’s why there were protests from religious groups after the premiere of this series, although it doesn’t make any sense since the show wasn’t in any way offensive. The main plot were concentrated on human relations (Bob’s family, Bob’s friends, Devil’s relations with God, different aspects of society). As for comedy series it wasn’t very successful, but it was entertaining, interesting and sometimes making interesting observations about ourselves.
