Sketch based show featuring such talents as Tim Brooke-Taylor or John Cleese presenting parodies and sketches with style close to the At Last 1948 Show or sometimes even Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
Series created by the team that later produced The Goodies (Tim Brooke-Taylor, Bill Oddie, Graeme Garden) with help from co-creators of Monty Python’s Flying Circus (John Cleese, Erid Idle, Graham Chapman) - whay can you expect from such cooperation? Absurdal humor, great parodies and insane songs.
The humor varies in different seasons of the show, especially before John Cleese joined the cast it was rather dry and seemed like extension of what the creators were performing while being students. With time (and with help of talents of John Cleese) the show has rised to a much higher level and offered a wide range of humour. Absurdal jokes, sometimes a little bit childish in style, often intentionally bad or in poor taste, but overall it’s great fun with great cast and some very original recurring characters.
