Radio show about misadventures of Royal Navy crew aboard HMS Troutbridge frigate that would do almost anything to avoid work.

Navy Lark was one of the "larks" created by Lawrie Wyman (the were also Embassy Lark and Big Business Lark) - radio comedy series based on similar concept, but taking place in different realities.

The Navy Lark was kind of "army humour" show with small dose of incompetence and large dose of trying to avoid any sort of work by the crew of HMS Troutbridge. It lasted for 15 seasons (it is still repeated on BBC radio) and even got short-lived TV version and movie, but even though the show had great cast and quite decent scripts the humour have dated rather badly since the show premiere.
