The Egg, a most remote prison in United Kingdom, set in the middle of the ocean on top on an ancient egg.
Governor Harry is in charge of the most remote prison in United Kingdom, set in the middle of the ocean, on top of an ancient egg, hence the name for the prison - the Egg. Even though it is located so far from land that the only way to reach it is via helicopter, this does not mean that there are no escapes. Governor Harry tries to deal with the problems of the Egg, but with help of his right hand man, which happens to be a woman named Ann, and another guard, Peter, who is not that bright, it is hard to keep everything in order. Especially when the minister keeps you under rigorous scrutiny.
While the setting on top of ancient egg is... let’s say original, and the unusual format of only 15-minute long episodes, Life on Egg is surprisingly entertaining. There is not much space for variety, but the creator, Dan Maier, managed to keep it fresh and interesting. With only handful of characters, the situations, the unusual "guests" on the Egg and sometimes absurdal humour made it a very pleasant mix.
