British embassy in the fictional country of Tratvia with the ambassador Sir Jeremy Crichton-Buller and his first secretary Henry Pettigrew try hard to keep smooth relations between Tratvia, United Kingdom and the other ambassadors (from China, USSR and USA).
Embassy Lark is one of the "larks" created by Lawrie Wyman (the were also Navy Lark and Big Business Lark) - radio comedy series based on similiar concept, but taking place in different realities.
Embassy Lark is in small way similiar to Yes Prime Minister or Men from the Ministry showing how politics may look like. Comparing to both show it wasn’t as successful - the plots were pretty good, but creators didn’t put too much effort on jokes settling for building good atmosphere.
