MJN Air is a small charter airline that will travel anywhere and will carry anything with equal professionalism and dedication. Well, dedication anyway...
The idea for the show was rather simple and not very original - small airline running charter flights using a single plane and a lot of imagination to make the ends meet. Their sometimes incompetence, more often lack of funds, are source of many funny moments, but also well developed characters are providing good chemistry between them.
Benedict Cumberbatch plays the captain, who tries to do everything by the book, Roger Allam is his complete opposite and always using his cunning to avoid work or gain something for himself (ideally both). Stephanie Cole as slave driver owner of MJN Air and John Finnemore as her not very bright son, who also works as steward.
Brilliant radio comedy series with great cast, very well written scripts and good overall atmosphere. In each episode they flight to a different location with completely different load and face completely different problems, which keeps the series fresh throughout the whole seasons.
