The Story of Dr Kildare

1950s radio comedy series

The Story of Dr Kildare radio comedy series review

Young, idealistic Dr. Kildare and crusty, but loveable Dr. Gillespie - the perfect mix of characters that make the Blair General Hospital such special place.

The Story of Dr Kildare is based on movies from 1930s and 1940s (in which Lew Ayres and Lionel Barrymore played the same characters). They aren’t typical comedy series, rather comedy-drama, but with such characters as Dr Gillespie, nurse Parker or Dr Carew it is far from being another medical story. The basic plots usually are rather serious, but very rarely they stay that way from beginning to the end.

The Story of Dr Kildare is surprisingly quite entertaining show - on one hand unusual cases and on the other hand comical moments.
