Ace Ventura

1990s movie comedy series

One extraordinary detective and two completely different adventures based on an idea for Ace Ventura being probably the best (not to mention the only) professional pet detective in the world.

First movie was built around criminal plot with just few examples of Ace Ventura eccentric ways of running investigation and his unique way of life. The second movie was based more on (sometimes rather childish) jokes and funny side of the character than serious investigation which worked much better (like in City Slickers series).

Jim Carrey made quite impression with part of Ace Ventura that saved him a place in such titles as The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar or Me, Myself & Irene. Rest of cast in the movies were just making a background for him and his performances.
