Young Lennie Godber is sent to Slade Prison for breaking and entering. He is lucky enough to share cell with Norman Fletcher, veteran and father-figure, who can show him the ropes.
With Fletcher?s help Godber manages to cope with the life in Slade Prison.

| Fletcher ends up in hospital with injured ankle, where he can help old Blanco get back his stuff. |

| Godber takes up boxing and when his big fight is coming Fletcher is forced by Harry Grout to make sure Godber will take a dive. |
7 | No Way Out |
| 1975 Christmas Special episode. The escape plan is put into action and Fletcher does everything he can to stay away from it. |
8 | The Desperate Hours |
| 1976 Christmas Special episode. Fletcher starts to sell the alcohol he was preparing for this special time of the year, but there is a bigger thing coming their way. |
