Stan Butler works as a bus driver with his friend Jack Harper as his conductor. They know all the tricks and all the gimmicks to avoid actual work and only look like theydo their job. But ill-tempered inspector Blake is determined to catch them.

| A nursery is set up for the clippies’ children, and the Sister in charge requires an assistant. |
2 | Stan’s Room |
| When Stan brings Doreen, a clippie, home for a cuddle on the sofa he finds the family are up watching a late film, then after a showdown with Mum, Stan moves in with Blakey. |
3 | The Best Man |
| The Inspector’s niece is getting married. Much to Blakey’s alarm, Stan is to be the Best Man. |
4 | The Inspector’s Pets |
| The inspector and his mum are going fishing, but he has no-one to look after the dog and the tropical fish, so Stan kindly steps in, but with the Butlers looking after them, it could only end in dissaster. |
5 | The Epidemic |
| It’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good, but even an ill wind can bring benefits when it’s carrying flu germs. |
6 | The Busmen’s Ball |
| The annual Busmen’s Ball comes round once again - and Arthur has decided that he and Olive will not be going. Then he discovers what this year’s cabaret is going to be rather attractive. |
7 | Canteen Trouble |
| Suzy in the canteen is very good to Stan and Jack when serving their meals - and charging for them! Naturally, this upsets Blakey, who is determined to beat Jack and Stan at their own game. |
8 | The New Nurse |
| Mary, the new nurse at the depot, comes to live with the Butlers as their lodger. |
9 | Lost Property |
| Stan and Jack find some fish and chips on their bus and, to cut a long story short, eat them. Then a woman comes into the depot to report the loss to Blakey. |
10 | Stan’s Uniform |
| Whilst trying to unblock the drains, Stan covers his uniform. |
11 | The Strain |
| Stan tries to prove his strength by picking up his girlfriend with one hand. In doing so, he strains his back and has to wear a surgical corset. |
12 | The New Telly |
| When the Luxton and District Traction Co. have their Christmas Club payout, Stan and the family decide to buy a colour television set. But they have a problem disposing of their old television set, they decide that the only person mug enouth is Blakey, it then blows up, put Blakey in bed for a fortnight, Jack and Stan must come to terms with Blakey before he fires them. |
13 | Vacancy For Inspector |
| Inspector Blake promotes Jack to be inspector, he accepts in the plan that he can get Stan overtime and won’t have to work it, then Jack and Blakey gang up on Stan and since Jack knows all the tricks, he knows how to get him into trouble. |
14 | A Thin Time |
| Arthur is attracted to Beryl, who is the clippie on his regular bus. But Beryl has only two interests in life - men with a fondness for athletics and those with a good head of hair. |
15 | Boxing Day Social |
| Jack suggests to Stan that Arthur’s sister Linda should be invited to the Boxing Day Social at the depot. |
