Two doctors Latimer - father and son - have problems with their spouses, which leads them to share a flat, which causes a lot of tension since they have completely different approach to many things.
1 | Father Moves In |
| Tom finds his dad Toby is also getting divorced, promising his wife not to go back to her. Tom agrees his father can stay with him. |
2 | Two In A Bed |
| Tom is not finding it easy letting Toby stay with him. Not only is he monopolising bathroom, but quirks such as patting his cornflakes and sniffing the milk are beginning to frustrate him. Later in the episode, Tom’s mother comes round for tea whilst Toby goes to the opera with a friend. However Tom’s mother is too drunk to go home, so sleeps in the upstairs bed, unknown to Toby, who offers his friend the same bed due his own drunken state. |
3 | Efforts At Reconciliation |
| Tom jumps to the wrong conclusions when seeing Toby arrive home late with an attractive young women, who turns out to be his sectary Madeline. Toby threatens to leave after his son accusing him, however later decides to stay. Nevertheless, Rumours are spreading, and Tom is growing concerned because his ex-wife Helen has told his mother. |
4 | Car Trouble |
| Tom’s car gets stolen so his father drives him to a cricket match in his expensive Rolls Royce. Unfortunately whilst playing, Tom hits the cricket ball that smashes Toby’s car’s window. Tom borrows the car to visit a patient, only for it to get vandalised, and confusion escalates further when he has reason to believe Toby’s car has also been stolen. |
