2000s British tv sitcom
Bernard Black is owner of small old-fashioned bookshop that barely breaks even, mostly thanks to Bernard’s customer service skills... that he has none. He hires Manny to help around the shop, but his happy-go-lucky attitude really gets on Bernard’s nerves.
Black Books Series 2 (2002)
Fran closes her shop and now unemployed has more time to spend in Black Books. Despite the efforts of Manny Bernard is still grumpy and drives away the customers.

| Fran broughts piano to Black Books with a decision to learn to play it. Bernard pretends that he can play to impress a woman. Both of them will need help from Manny. |

| A heat wave arrives to Black Books and plays tricks with the minds: Fran is convinced that her flat is getting smaller, Bernard feels the urge to find a girl for the summertime, Manny thinks that if the temperature will rise to 88°F something horrible will happen. |

| Fran is desperate to find a new job and it turns out Manny is the man that can help her out. |

| After accidental visit to a "proper" bookstore Manny is determined to change Black Books into modern and profitable business, but can Bernard stand the sacrifice of his lifestyle? |

| Fran takes up yoga with her friend Eva, who tries to change her into vegeterian. Manny buys the complete works of Freud, which will help Bernard to notice all the worrying symptoms in Manny’s behaviour. |
6 | A Nice Change |
| Since the building next door is undergoing renovation Bernard and Manny are forced to find some other place to stay for 2 weeks since the noise is unbearable. Fran persuades them to take up holiday. |
